Runway FW 2011!!

I was so excited when I started seeing how much Katharine Hepburn’s style is being largely focused on for FW 2011! So much inspiration for this coming season has drawn from the 40’s; focusing on strong, independent females by utilizing masculine silhouettes with feminine touches.  No collection is doing anything too fussy- it is all very casual, easy pieces that can easily be worked into anyone’s current wardrobe. Here is a picture of Katharine Hepburn taken on the set of the movie "Holiday"in 1938 [left] and an outfit of Miu Miu's FW 2011 collection [right]. Similarities can be seen with the bold, broad shoulders, and also the use of double collars and a similar hairstyle.
